Scale Dictionary
C3 through B6. Marked keys belong to the selected scale; labels show every key.
Root notes are black; other scale tones are grey. Open strings use hollow circles. Playback covers the chosen number of octaves from the start root (outlined), highlights the note being played in blue, and dims the notes outside the run. Click a root note on the board or use Start from to choose where playback begins. Scroll the mouse wheel over the neck (or use Neck position) to move along all 22 frets; the view follows the notes during playback. Playback starts with one audible bar of count-in in the selected meter at the entered BPM. The numerator sets the number of clicks and the denominator labels their written pulse (quarter notes in /4, eighth notes in /8); practice notes follow at one note per pulse. The metronome stops when the scale begins. Export harmonization MIDI saves the chord built on every scale degree as four-note seventh chords (stacked thirds of the scale), one chord per bar, ending on the first chord an octave higher, in the selected meter and BPM, with piano or guitar sound to match the interface.
